Zhuolin Feng is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). She joined the Graduate School of Education in 2006, where she obtained her PhD degree (2009) and became a faculty member in the Centre for World-Class Universities after the graduation. From 2008 to 2009, she went to the University of Virginia as a visiting scholar at Curry School.
Her primary research interests include higher education leadership, strategic planning of universities, and applied research on world-class universities. She has published a number of papers on these research fields. In particular, she wrote a book on the professional development of university president, and is undertaking further studies in this field with the national research grants.
She is an active practitioner of consultation exercise. She has provided a couple of consultation reports on world-class universities to the Chinese Ministry of Education. She is conducting the performance evaluation of institution's internationalization for the executive vice president of SJTU.
In addition, she is responsible for the building and development of the Clearinghouse on Word-Class Universities, which attempts to create a bibliographic database where all literature resources relevant to the theme of World-Class Universities are included.
